Should Micro-transactions be implemented to support servers?

Will there be a system where you can buy Simoleons for "X" amount of real money? This is a concern to me since it will free, hence the name FreeSO. Also if a system of Micro-transactions are implemented, will it be like the ATM from the original TSO?

"actually saying that I think I will charge a small one-time fee on my private server (<£5)" What subscribers have won with that? (Exclusive Objects, Simoleons) :p

§100k Simoleons (more/less, depending on simoleon worth), a property in a city of their choice (between Blazing Falls and Dragon's Cove), some of my exclusive objects + the ability to submit objects onto the server (after the mandatory object review, of course). The fee is really just there to keep the server running, and it's a relatively small fee.

Anyway, alternate servers .. will be not necessary (Unless, that the alternate server, do something that is not there on the official server). :p

What part of "FreeSO" is hard to understand?
I knew joining the servers would be free to join to began with, but I worried it would spiral out of control with extra things to buy like some Minecraft servers where you pay $50 or something to be admin. Sorry just my concerns.

Thank you, AAA companies, for tarnishing the word "free."

oh lmao I thought you were kidding about charging <£5... Have fun with that :D

on topic- selling stuff will get EA suing all over the place, it's not happening. I'm not a freeso official and I can guarantee this ;-;

If donations are ever accepted, they will be considered donations to keep the server up, not the game. Thus, any benefits will involve premium reserved server space - such as bigger max lot sizes, lots where visitors can enter without an owner, increased object limit. We cannot offer gameplay advantages, you'd still need to earn upgrades and your objects.

I'm not sure about any of this right now. We'll need to see how expensive the server is to run.

I'm in favor of donating to have a main server. TSO grew boring when the crowd left, and there wasn't much of a fan base left in EAL.
