Money money money moneyyy

I'd like to help design the distribution of money and other things in freeso.

For example, the payouts from having popular houses in TSO was incredibly low (only like 3k a day for top houses). Also, certain categories should make more than other categories. i.e. skill vs money lots.

Also, the distribution of skill locks for sims in TSO was by age(21 days per lock). I think that you should be able to purchase them with money, each point you buy would increase the cost for the next point.

As for the rare items, pet statues, Mystic trees, campfires, cannons, simmies, gnomes and such what are the current plans on distributing them? Putting a price on them might not be the best idea. Maybe we could come up with some kind of system to distribute them. Maybe like a lottery or something.

Anyway, I'd like to help design and manage these things, along with other economical matters.
What are everybodies opinions on these things?

I prefer it being unlocked with age as it keeps you playing + as you play more, you can spend less time skilling (and more time spending that money :D)

Ah, I see. But with this method it will take 5.75 years for one sim to have 120 locks (assuming 20 are given for free). Also, at the moment, there is nothing that you can strive to save up for.
i.e Lets say you save up and earn 1.5 million. You build a house with that, it probably costs 100-500k. Now what do you do with the left over money...or any other money you might earn after that?

The skill locks system is there for a reason - to encourage specialisation in skills so you can sell your services for profit. Though, the game really needs more skill specific transferable benefits to make that reasonable.

Multi-accounting also breaks it a bit. We'll have specific restrictions for multiple sims on same account being active at once (only one sim can earn money or skills at a time, but you can still roleplay or own another lot with your other sims), and will strictly ban multi-accounting to get around the restrictions.

Oh dang, so will multi-accounting be allowed at all?
i.e if I wanted to play pizza with myself
or if I was trying to skill a skill and I brought in 3-4 more sims to increase the bonus?
or if my sim was low on social. I bring in another sim to woohoo him and get his social up? xD

You should be doing those things with other players. If you do them with sims from the same account, you will not gain skills or money on the sims past the first one you logged in as.

Ah okay! Just checking.
Thanks so much for all the hard work on FreeSO

If you need any help at all, just ask!
...well as long as I am actually able to do it xD but ask anyway and I'll see if I can/can't do it

Good job, RHY! I know people thought I was a whiner about the economy back in TSO, but having around 90% of all the cash being generated by macros really was too much.
