Place to Live?

I just joined and I'm looking for somewhere to live, but I have zero simoleans. Is there a place that I could live in until I make some money?
 
There isn't a list of places that I know of but while you are playing you can certainly ask people in the game if they could use a roommate. Technically, though, a place to live isn't really a requirement. So many people have their lots open to the public that you have everything you need already. Having your own house is nice for getting to design and build something yourself but otherwise you're all set.

I would suggest first one of the open skill houses. Hang out there as much as you want. People are REALLY nice. They will help you skill up your Sim to be able to make better money soon. I don't want to overwhelm you with stuff beyond that, but don't over-worry about having no cash yet, you can make some without much difficulty.

The popular skill houses that are currently open will show up under the wrench icon, I think, at the bottom left. HTH!!

Oh yeah, you can also hang out at a "services" house. Some are named something like, "inn." You can sleep at other types too though. :)
