like the title asks, is it possible to use a Custom Skin/Model from The Sims 1 in TSO?

like this for example:

Yes, but on the official server they will be heavily moderated to only allow ones that fit the tone of the game. For example: onesie sleepwear = yes, reasonable custom daywear = yes hoodie = yes, creepy dragon stretched into sim proportions = no.

If you find some way to inject meshes into the game files you can do it right now, but everyone else would need to make the same changes or they'd just see you as Bob Newbie.

i've found tools to extract FARs but none to recompress them

We want to be very careful about keeping things within legal bounds so that we can keep the game open. The FreeSO client is entirely legal as it is simply a glorified format reader - no The Sims Online content is distributed with it. We can't distribute game objects that use Maxis materials.

Yes, that's another thing. For example, we wouldn't be allowed to accept verbatim Makin Magic objects as custom content.

ohh i understand that if i had custom content to be added in that regard it'd be kept for private use i just at this poing want to fnd compression tools to Re compress TSO's.dat so once i would of Injected the Mesh & Textures i could run the game and use it.

Honestly, I think furry skins would be perfectly fine. The game is there for people to enjoy. That being said, they'd have to be a bit less... creepy than that dragon. That being said I don't actually have any power to make that judgement. Just my two cents XD

Ahh... Back when we were all Bob Newbie.

Hi I was doing a little research, perhaps and certainly as far as I arrive already know the fact that I will give, but just in case I expose here.

There are many types of .dat files so that each file is supposed to only be decompressed by the program that compressed. Opening these files with blog notes give you one on the first line is and that is "FAR" for me this word does not mean much, not you and the initials of the creator AZ .... is seeking information about this I found this link, which speaks directly to the creator who made it, is there any possible way to contact him? ... same the program facilitates or gives permission. I have read is that something that we want the game to be legal, and do not understand, if we introduce ourselves custom material would not be legal?
