TSO Custom skins?

So I was wondering, if there's a way to put custom Sims 1 Skins into TSO?
Not for public use, but for private use? Like a Skin that only I can see but the others not? Is that a posibility? Or just Impossible?
 
It is possible, though the engine doesn't have any easy mechanisms to replace or add clothing/animations yet.

We honestly have other priorities atm, the addition of customized skins will eventually be something easier in future(just like for customized content/objects) so for now I think you will have to do with the original Maxis skins in game.

Yeah, it seems so.
 
Do you remember "The Patch" for TSO? It replaced clothing items with custom clothing, but, like you described in your post, it was only visible to the people who were also using the patch. It changed the clothing purchased from the store and it changed the costume trunks. There was even a nude one in the Vegas wardrobe. If I can dig up its origins, maybe we can work from there?

Honestly I really want these clothes back. It was called Kingware or Kingsware.
