Do you have The Sims Online installed on your computer? :/
You NEED that to play Project Dollhouse
if you don't have it installed, you can get it here: http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/misc/tso/ (It WILL take a long time to install depending on how fast your internet connection is, the file you download from that page won't though )

Once the game has installed, you'll need to run the setup.exe and then wait for it to install, then do NOT make an EA Account, just cancel.

It still doesn't work. Where do the TSO files go? Because I couldn't find out where it downloaded them. Do I need to put the TSO files in the folder for PD.

Have you run setup.exe?
Make sure you use the default path.

And No, PD goes with TSO.

Please download the latest version from Github, it will produce a detailed error log and show you the error that caused a crash in a messagebox. Please ignore PDBootstrap, it will crash. Also remember to run the client as admin!

I updated it again, this time with a new patcher that doesn't rely on PDBootstrapper, and therefore shouldn't crash.
Link is the same as the one you posted.

you should log in to the root account Afr0 and see if you can see my character
