Two accounts on same IP address (different people)

Hi,

First of all, thank you so much for this awesome game that you made possible to play again, we, my brother and I, never got the chance to play it before because we only heard of the Sims Online a bit after it got shut down and we're so happy to be able to finally play it after so many years.

I heard that you could not create more than one account on the same IP address, but what if my brother and I already have an account and we want to play on the same IP at the same time? We don't plan on abusing or creating issues at all as we are only willing to play together. Will we get banned or anything if we do so? His player name is Djo and mine is Blaze Walters if that can help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Two separate avatars playing the game on the same IP is fine, assuming they are actually two different people. There is one regulation on this though; funnelling money from one sim to another will flag up suspicion, so try to keep your simoleons to yourselves.

Yeah, I mean, me and my GF are raising money together for a house. I'm constantly sending her 999 Simoleons(Which I think it should be increased to 9999 max).
I hope I don't get banned for this, lol.

It will not ever be increased because pooling simoleons is abusive behaviour. You're toeing the line.

Ok, but still, it's an MMO, we help each other. I don't like the builder part of the game so I mostly spend my time working, talking to people and gaining skill.
Then I give my girlfriend the money I made from work. I really can't see a bad thing about it.
Could you explain why helping out your girlfriend by giving the money you worked for "abusive behavior"?

People giving other people ton of money destoryed the economy of the TSO itself, so try to have a common sense with it why it wouldn't be tolerated.

It's not like I giving 10k to my girlfriend every day would annihilate the economy of the game, lol. There's people that gain a LOT more than that daily.
And again, what's the point of playing together, with a friend if you can't even help each other out?
It's too strict. If the game's economy implodes because of simoleon trade, then fix the damn economy. If the economy is so fragile, this restriction just looks like a band-aid.
The whole reason I'm playing is to help my GF, that is a enormous fan of the game, build a cute house and get a pet, if I can't even do that in a Sims MMO, I have no reason to play :/

I am 100% unable to play this game with my boyfriend because we are unable to create an account on the same IP. We have tried.

And as a side note, I agree with Vesker. I understand that you have a limit of $999, and that's fine since you've deemed it necessary, but I think labeling his utilization of the limit to give money to his GF so she can build their house as "toeing the line" of being "abusive behavior" is a bit brash.

Shouldn't your girlfriend work for the money than like yourself, build a place together and both pour money into that? You can't just expect the limit for trading money to be increased because anyone than could abuse multiple clients to earn money faster which than screws the economy.

I see how this could be limiting especially to people that don't like building and prefer leaving that to their roommates/loved ones.
However I like the current limits as it makes the game harder and refrains people from abusing the economy.
I play with my GF and not even once have I given her a single simoleon nor have I receive any from her.
We just build our house together. If we want expensive objects one has to work hard to get them and I like that A LOT.
We've been playing for a few days now(I don't have much time, she plays more than me) and we just started building the walls of our house.
It really gives you a sense of accomplishment. Even with the current system in place my biggest fear is that I'll make money too fast.
Maybe I'm alone on this but decided to share my views :)

The point isn't increasing the Money Limit, I really don't care about that. The point is me giving money to my GF to let her build a house.
What a way to interpret my sentence, mate.
She plays the game as well, but she doesn't have much time as she studies a lot. I work on a computer so I can stay logged in working or skilling.
I DONT like the building aspect of the game, I have literally 0 interest in it, my GF on the other hand, adores it.
We have a house together, the house is ours, what's the problem in giving her the money so she can improve it? If she's the architect why would me, someone that doesn't know a thing about building, try to build? It's absurd.
Our only alternative is me giving her my account and password so she can use my money to build our house. I don't want to do that, to be honest, but what's our alternative?
I'm carrying 20k of dead simoleons because I have nothing to spend on.

And you have to realize you are asking for the money amount to be increased otherwise you wouldn't complain about this process. If that was abolished the economy would go through the roof, I can understand where you are coming from but it's not going to happen.

Seriously? I don't want to increase the damn limit, dude. I have no qualms in giving 999 Simoleons each time to my GF. My concern is the consequence of doing so. Will I be punished if I give my Simoleons to my GF for her to build our house? 999 at the time, no more, no less.

To be fair, the main thing that killed the economy was not honest players working together to trade money to each other. It was people who used program bots to play their sims when they were off line. It was also people who abused the tip jar glitch and the clothes rack glitch and got TONS of Free money for doing nothing but exploiting a glitch.... things like that.
