When I login with just the word username for username then password for password, it logs in but I see other sims then mine. I click on mine and it takes me to a blank area with menus at the bottom. I think it is due to the fact that I deleted the dollhouse config ._. Also, I am new here so, bear with me!
Is there a reason why it crashes when I put my info in though?Tirea said:brendenp123 said:So I manage to put in my user info then it crashes when it reaches around 75%. the username account is just an example it's not your account you have to great your own one just type in any username you want to have and a password for it the server then creates that account for you.![]()
the "blank area" is normal! You can't do much for now just create a sim and thats it
btw if you minimize the client window once you are at the "blank area" and bring it back up you should see the (messed up ) world
randywc1985: You're welcome! I'm just glad I can be helpful![]()
I'll try that when I get a chance. Thanks! Also, is there any expected release date? I'm very eager to try this outTirea said:Thats something I don't really know... you can try deleting the CharacterCache folder inside the TSOClient folder and see if that helps...
Tori Sim said:Team, I just did something just out of curiosity - In my C: drive I have 2 Program Files options (I Have Win 8) I have "Program Files" folder and then "Program Files(x86) - While placing all the folders and files as instructed in the "Program Files" section, but they were not working for me - sooooo - I thought "What have I got to lose?" I add the WHOLE Maxis folder (Transferring by copy/paste) into the Program Files(x86) folder - I select the PDBootstrap (Right click Run as Admin) and although I got the error "Maxis not found" it DID actually run the updates! So now it tells me "Your Client is Up to Date - Exiting"
I just wanted to share that, hope it helps - somehow![]()

don't delete it! Just right click on the sims online, click on export and save it (easiest way is to save it to your desktop), if that is done close the registry editor (the regedit program) and on your desktop (or where ever you saved the file earlier) right click on it and choose edit. That should open Notepad, in Notepad you just delete the "/wow6432node" part after the "hkey_local_machine/software/" entry, close notepad and save the file, and then just double click on it and import it back into the registry.

I wouldn't recommend putting any games in the "program Files x86" folder. Most games I play, I like to customize and modify, such as Skyrim, and I've always been told that placing games in that folder will cause issues with modifying and adding necessary files.
