WHAT IS THIS!? Help! (Resolved)

Ive been trying to play freeSo for like a month now (bc sims is my life) and ive installed and re-installed it almost 3 times, and I cant get past this weird title screen. I can move the text around but not klick on anything and it plays some music for about 5 seconds then it stops, is this supposed to happen? Help???

I can't find any information about this on google, so I litterally just created this account to ask about this

I do not know how to solve this problem. My only suggestion is to try starting the game with the -dx flag, as described here:
