Was able to create a handless sim. Also freezes at talking to mother ship. And If I go to relog in the Project Dollhouse Client Crashes. My Cursor and the buttons still do not line up. Can you log back into your account after you create your sim?

OK, so create a sim works fine on my desktop despite the characters missing their hands. (theres new information on the wiki regarding hand groups btw, found by yours truly ;) ) Also, installer is still putting fonts and effects in Content/ instead of Content/Fonts etc...

Another bug... I selected a few things and it crashed when selecting page 11. I also got a crash switching to male. OK now I got a crash clicking login twice.

I created a sim called "Robo Santa" with the santa head and robot body. Now when I try to log in, the game crashes like with my laptop. When I log in with "username" and "password", the screen loads fine and I can see the sims created there.

Is city view meant to be working yet? How do we get to it?
Followup post: I'm pretty much confirmed for idiot, my laptop was crashing because I had accidentally moved the body meshes out of the folder they were meant to be in when testing them with vitaboy-webgl. I was wondering why the sims' bodies were missing in my real tso cas...

Also: you're rendering sims in perspective! They should be rendered orthographically and with a 30 degree angle camera (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isometric_ ... _pixel_art). Another weird thing, when I move the scene camera in specific ways, the sim deforms, sort of flattens and skews. Might want to check the math on that, right now I think it's making the sims too tall.

I've had the same problem, after logging in with a username and password of my choice I can create a character just fine but then freezes when loading the city at "communicating with mothership" or something like that. Not only that but then I exit, launch Project Dollhouse and try to login again with the account I made it just crashes the game. However, if I login with just the default "username" and "password" has the username and password it works, but of course every sim character slot is taken already since that's the default user account. So basically still a lot of crashes for Afr0's team to work on already I believe. :(

It seems that the game seems to be crashing at login with specific body meshes... When I make sims with the robot body I can't log back into the account without crashing, for instance.

Hold on, some of you are able to log into the server? Each time I try, I get the EA server error message.

Is there something I'm missing?

EDIT: nvm, I see that the client was re-released. Going to fix my setup XD

Don't forgot to enable Admin mode and compatibility mode for Windows XP, that seems to help for people crashing just by starting the game ;)

Okay so I was able to login to the default username/password sims which made me extremely happy.

Then I created my own account followed by my own sim.
Tried logging into the city but it wouldn't load up, it was worth a try.

Now when I log into the client with my unique username/password, it crashes.
I'm running the client with admin privileges and XP compatibility mode.
Note: I can still log into the default username/password with no issues.

I'd also like to note that I tried logging into my account with a different password just to see what would happen, it didn't log in which was cool.

EDIT:
I didn't see the part about the ports, going to forward them now XD

ReEDIT:
Even after forwarding my ports, I crash each time I submit my username/password.
I've tried seeing if there was a difference with Windows XP Service pack 2 and 3 but both versions still crash.
I think my account is bugged, I may try creating a different account.
I created a new account and now it's doing the exact same thing as my other account.
Each time I try to connect using the default user/password account, it stays at 25% "connecting with the mothership" which I'm told is normal.
But why can't I sign into either of my accounts?
I'm stumped >.<
Tori told me of the issue of the client crashing with certain meshes, I think this may be the issue I'm experiencing.
Down below are the face and clothes I used for my sim.

Thanks for a great run last night, everyone! :D
In total, there are 41 registered accounts and 38 characters.

For those of you "stuck" at the city transfer screen, you should have waited - city takes a while to load, and your characters weren't transfered to the city server because you quit (don't worry, I can fix that manually). How long the city takes to load will vary depending on your PC specs, obviously.

As I predicted, the LoginServer eventually crashed. I'm heading for uni now, and will be running it in debug mode along with the city server while I'm there. Hopefully that should help me pinpoint the issue.

I'm happy and relieved that most of you made it into the CAS; I'll have to compile a client with specific logging for those of you who didn't.

jesseinsanity: Just remove the forwarded ports. Forwarding ports should only be done if you can't connect initially. No idea why the client crashes when you try to create another account.

Rhys: Way, you made it into CAS! Means less debugging for me. :p

I don't crash while creating accounts.
I crash trying to log in with the accounts I created.
I never got to the city view.
I guess I didn't wait long enough, although I waited a considerable amount of time. My PC has amazing specs so I didn't think it would take that long.

jesseinsanity: What did you mean by "Note: I can still log into the default username/password with no issues."

I can sign into the server using Username and Password, the defaults.
I can see the three sims that are on that account.

I cannot sign into the account(s) that i registered on the server without my game crashing. This was after I made a sim and tried to go into city view.

I think it has to do with me not waiting long enough to bypass the "connecting to the mothership" message or something to do with the meshes I chose for my sim.

Curious but did the login server crash or get turned down for a moment cause i get that EA.com thing again. Did you temporarily shut down the server/turn it off? You get what i mean.

Yeah, it's down for now. I'm going to attempt to fix the issue where it crashes after running for a certain amount of time, so that it can run forever! :D

Again, thanks for an excellent bug report! :)
The city view is meant to be working (though the city is only displayed sporadically, from what I can gather), but it takes quite a while to load, so you should just wait from 25% onwards.
I believe the crash when relogging has to do with the sim caching system... deleting the folder CharacterCache should fix the problem. I thought I'd fixed that bug, but apparently not. :\

Tried logging in this morning (just now) Twice I tried - and TSOClient quit working :/
Worked fine yesterday :)

Hey so I just reinstalled TSO and got a CLEAN installation. So what excactly do I need to install in which order to get all working?
