ok last night after I made my account and sim then tried to re-login the game crashed at 75%. Today I deleted the character cache and I got in first time and my sim is still there :-D

gonna try to get to city now
 
No I havent installed anything yet cuz dont wanna mess anything up, so thats why I wait until somebody can tell me what I have to install in which order.

install the sims online ... then pdinstaller .... that is all, and run as administrator.
 
on page 1 of this thread is a link:

I have already released a new installer for the client, but if you don't want to reinstall, you can fetch the latest files here and just replace the ones you installed with the ones in the zip.

I know but I havent installed anything yet dont I first have to install the other PD installer the 20mb one?

Im just glad we all managed to so far BOOM into that great game! Eventually,We might even get to really get into the city and see each other as tests to see if we can and IM JUST TOO EXCITED! My words are literally scrambled its like i just can't get them in ordered line because of the excitement but can you guys blame me? We made sims! :D
 
TSOclient has stopped working
I do not know why, but I have already reinstalled completely TSO and instaled the latest version of Client and replaced the 3 files and its still not working, please help! :(

Did you put the TerrainSplat
And TerrainSplat2.xnb in the Effects Folder?
And then
ProjectDollhouse_10px.xnb
ProjectDollhouse_12px.xnb
ProjectDollhouse_14px.xnb
ProjectDollhouse_16px.xnb

All into the Fonts folder?

Have you tried launching the game from the "Project Dollhouse.exe" and it crashes?, if so try running in admin mode and compatibility mode set to "windows XP service pack 3" or "2".

no I did not, I did and now it works, thx :) without you I would not have managed to make it work.

Another bug... I selected a few things and it crashed when selecting page 11. I also got a crash switching to male. OK now I got a crash clicking login twice.

I created a sim called "Robo Santa" with the santa head and robot body. Now when I try to log in, the game crashes like with my laptop. When I log in with "username" and "password", the screen loads fine and I can see the sims created there.

Is city view meant to be working yet? How do we get to it?

Again, thanks for an excellent bug report! :)
The city view is meant to be working (though the city is only displayed sporadically, from what I can gather), but it takes quite a while to load, so you should just wait from 25% onwards.
I believe the crash when relogging has to do with the sim caching system... deleting the folder CharacterCache should fix the problem. I thought I'd fixed that bug, but apparently not. :\

Well I been waiting for 50 minutes now and its still on 25% just tell me if i can close that application.

I use laptop: Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pi 3660
System: Windows 7 x64
Processor: Inter(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz 2.2.0 GHz
Graphics Card: GEFORCE GT240M
RAM: 4.00 Gt

Maybe because the Server/City is offline now.
 
Bug: I was able to trigger the sim button (to enter the city with that sim) from the credits page. There are still no cities listed when I try to create sim.

Yes, but I was having that problem yesterday, too. And I had a better graphics card, twice as much ram as that guy, and a QUAD CORE 3.4ghz processor.
