    Pingu's Igloo Remesh Stash

Game - Rugs - Star - Arrow - Backgammon White - Backgammon Red These turned out really well, it doesn't make much sense having these tiles 3D but it does give it a cool effect because of it  The previous triangle count for the red or white was around 9000 each. Now reduced to 25 (less than...

    Pingu's Igloo Remesh Stash

Column Arch Stone Pillar Some of the bricks are uneven at the moment, and the height isn't right but the object is practically complete! This is my second object that has a UV map done all by myself. It didn't take too long to make the pillar itself since it is fairly basic. What would be a...

    Exception: System.NullReferenceException

Windows 10 does not contain the right .dll's to have XAudio2 (at least I think so, same for Windows 7). Microsoft took out the optional components like DirectPlay etc for some reason. Some installers for games contain the DirectX 9.0c Optional Components Installer (along with other redistributes...

    Pingu's Igloo Remesh Stash

Painting Warhol - Object After years of genetic research into how a painting breaths and interacts with our intricate world, the team at M.O.M.I thought it might be time to experiment by making a live painting that could communicate to humans. The testing failed and all we have left is this...

I don't know what the problem is

Re-installing The Sims Online should fix the issue, make sure that the directory that it is trying to access exists in the first place. (make sure that the tuning.dat file is present, the whole installation of TSO needs to be in the correct path that it installed; logic) File trying to be...

    Win10 - Freeso launcher - Trojan:Win32/Peals.F!cl

Anti-virus software can pick up just anything without reason, sometimes it identifies things has being harmful but it is completely harmless. It could just be an mistake in the code. Installation Error

Anti-virus software can interfere with anything. For e.g. AVG Free managed to break the connection between Windows Update and the internet. (it took control?? over it, COMPLETELY) Only when uninstalling AVG (it was an old version anyway, it was broken from age) would Windows Update work again...

    Error starting

Have you tried re-installing OpenAL or updating your .NET Framework yet? According to the error/exception that occured when launching the game, "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format" so from that there is a possibility that there could be an issue with your .NET...

    Game optimization

The games system requirements are fair for the state that technology is at right now. The reason why they might be considered high is because compared to TSO or TS1 they are outrageously higher which to some is too high.(TSO and TS1 can run on Windows 95 or something crazy like that) The entire...

    Game optimization

You don't need to know, they are a bit technical in how they work (I don't fully understand either) but there is no real point in trying to get the game to work on older hardware since it will be really slow. It won't make it better, it is like putting on a band-aid on a bigger issue. If you...

    Game optimization

Updating your graphics drivers is the best thing that you can do (and probably the most besides forcing the game to use a wrapper, which is very unstable) in order to get the game working properly.... Otherwise upgrade your computer (laptops are more difficult to upgrade) or buy a new computer.

    Roof Art Tiles

Have a peek in Volcanic and see where the .jpg's are located. If that fails then just try and find them manually (search). To start up Volcanic from the FreeSO Launcher, just right-click the "Play" button and confirm. If you are not using the launcher then go to "C:\Program Files\Maxis\FreeSO"...

    [New issue--distorted audio]

I don't remember what that issue is caused by, I think it might be from the VRAM being full which makes monogame distort things. If you are minimizing the game a lot or for long periods of time (like 5 minutes or more for example) then that would be causing it. (Monogame bug/issue)

The Sims 2 and 3 almost fully depend on DirectX, compared to FreeSO.(lower system requirements) Use this tool: www.realtech-vr.com/support/deeplink.php?SKU=15&target=UrlWin32 It will be able to tell you if your device is capable enough: Open GL 3.0. Just run the setup tool and run it, in the...

    Error graphics

Update your graphics drivers, restart your computer. If that does not work then just re-install the graphics drivers to make sure that the device is working properly. (clean install using DDU if that still doesn't work) - Install DirectX again (optional components that are required by FreeSO) -...

Try changing the registry timeout value for TDR? (timeout detection recovery) It can be risky though. Did you try and install DirectX's optional components? DirectX Web Installer for Optional Components (required by FreeSO): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Bug : Dish washer SFX keeps "clicking" each time used

It is a bug at the moment. Rhys is working on it to get it fixed eventually (someone else is welcome to fix it). I forgot what it was caused by, (might be MonoGame or something else)

    Things people don't talk about

Crashes and server lag are currently issues and it is very annoying for people when playing the game for long enough only find that their game crashed. Things are always (usually) being worked on as we speak (by Rhys, TheArchitect, etc.) I do agree with the lack of introductory material being...
