I founds a bug with the laptop where if the sim picks it up, uses it for something, then puts it down again, the game will either crash or he will permanently have his hand up as if he was holding it.

Yes, you will be able to find a lot of crashes. When the sim attempts to put down the laptop it fails to drop to the ground, at which point it is deleted (rather incorrectly).
 
Buy mode now has mouse placement (local copy, it's still unstable)! Here's a room I filled with extravagant decorations:

Placement interface is as you remember, but a little rough right now (no object summary!)

(also the selected item in the catalog doesn't light up, etc)

There's any chance to play online in this year?
Maybe some alpha / beta tests?
You mean something like a playable version or ability to test the game at the current stage? About the first one, nobody really knows. Even if Simantics was ready in a next coming months, it would also need to be synced between clients, which is a bit tricky. But you can already grab the build from here and have fun. :D

Well, we'd need a basic Lot, with nothing on it, like a "Vacant Lot". Also, the Buy Mode button would have to be disabled if the Lot isn't yours.

Yes, rotation works. Right now I'm adding wall collision checks, so that wall hangable objects can't be placed on the floor and "snap" to the walls like you'd expect. I'm also going to attempt to configure placement of objects on slots.
 
LOL "Study For School" They obviously left this in when developing the game, then dummied it out of the game.
 
Wall required on (side) is working, Wall disallowed on (side) isn't, despite using pretty much the same check. Here's the current state of things:

Note: the object currently does not turn red and become detached from the grid on failed placement, it just stays at the place it was before.

First in the Development you could only create a character and go to city ,
Now you can even Chat and Go to a lot in the Debug mode,
First were there no walls, now there are, you couldnt Buy Anything, now you can go in buy mode, then you cant choose where to place, now it works, you couldnt rotate objects, but now it works ^^
I like it REALLY much

Also, are the Sounds implemented yet? Or do you need to look up the names of them?
