Holy!....the restaurant job lot AND BUILD MOD is working now?!? SOMEONE SEND ME A LINK TO THE LATEST CLIENT! :D
 
One thing which interests me, is if at the waiter job lot would you only have to take orders from npcs or would you also other online players be on the lot that you would have to serve?

When Bob was on Fire, his screaming SFX played, but it didn't loop.
My guess is that the Betaville patch contained the fire sfx and code, but the stingers for the fire warning ARE in TSO.

The robot job is also working (or at least, now it is, special thanks to my power-debugging), even if it's going a little fast at the moment. You also can't repair the machines with the provided tools... I'll be looking into this shortly. (in the video i just force them repaired with debug interactions)

I added a second sim so that I can test these in a more realistic way, also so that I can test more advanced routing (sim to sim collision etc) when I eventually get to it.

Apologies for the random freeze at the end, I encountered a bug and had to fix it in realtime. Hope you don't mind. ;)

What's your house selection mechanism?
 
A simple lot selection screen, but right now does not allow to reload house, becuase for some reason i cannot removed stuff like terrain and world.

I was working on something like that, but a city selector-styled list that would simply output the filenames in the blueprints folder. It would appear when "lot & simantics debug" was clicked, and would load the file selected. If no file was selected it loaded the default restaurant08_00.xml.

Your idea is better, ill try to do that, what, why you mean city selector styled?? Using city selection screen, or using the city image only??

The city selector listbox; whenever you click on "create a sim" it appears:

But instead of "East Jerome", all of the file names were displayed. I never got it working correctly, but I wish you luck in doing so, if you choose to.

What's your house selection mechanism?
This is fantastic progress, When is it going to be possible to earn simoleons from this and spend them?
 
All of these job lots got me thinking that it would be cool if we could hire NPC's to go to our lot and make the place look busier. Like hiring a DJ or cage dancers or a receptionist for an office lot etc.
 
Just tried latest build of PD on my Windows tablet (Atom Z3735E, 1GB RAM, HD Graphics) and that mysterious error happens just after pressing "Simantics & Lot Debug" button (and it won't load, probably because it runs out of RAM or something). Too bad, I was curious if it would be even close to being playable (at least with a stylus).

Nice work on the job lot.
